In 1901 Miss Mabel Fidler opened a day school in the Sydney suburb of Gordon on land adjacent to ‘Ravenswood’, the home she and her sisters built two years prior. In those days it was common for young women to establish small independent schools; Ravenswood School for Girls is one of the few still operating on its original site.

For the past decade Brickworks has been a proud supporter of Children's Cancer Institute Australia for Medical Research (CCIA), Australia's only independent medical research facility dedicated to research 
into the causes, prevention, treatment and ultimately a cure for childhood cancer.

Austral Bricks recently held the Australian Institute of Architects 2012 Venice Biennale Exhibition reveal at our Sydney CBD design studio.

Austral Bricks has been involved as a corporate partner with the Biennale since 2008.  It is an event that expresses Australia’s architectural creativity and that enables Australian architects to shine as a whole on the world stage.  Austral Bricks is very excited and proud to once again be associated with Australian architecture and the Australian Pavilion.

An exiting new Design Studio showcasing Austral bricks' latest products has officially opened at 490 Swan Street, Richmond VIC. 

Austral Bricks has unveilled a giant 100 sqm brick mural to celebrate the parade of Tour de France winner Cadel Evans.

Bricks have arrived in the city with the opening of the stylish, new Austral Bricks Design Studio right in the heart of the CBD - 50 Carrington Street.

Like so many around the world celebrating  the impending royal wedding, here at Austral Bricks we also wanted to be a part of this celebration in our own very unique way.
