Congratulations Cadel

Australia's largest mural celebrates the Cadel Evans’ victory

Austral Bricks has proudly unveilled a giant 100 sqm brick mural to celebrate the parade of Tour de France winner Cadel Evans.

We used 9,200 decorative bricks in nine glazed colours to depict Even’s face and the national flag, with four bricklayers undertaking the six day bricklaying exercise.

The 100 sqm wall is located at Austral Bricks’ Victorian office at Craigieburn East at Craigieburn and is clearly visible from the Hume Highway.

The wall is the third wall to be built on the site, preceded by Tiger Woods and Essendon and Collingwood AFL players.

Austral Bricks’ Victorian marketing manager, Richard West said, “We built the mural as a tribute to a Victorian who has just posted arguably Australia’s greatest sporting achievement.”

“The Brick Art mural demonstrates the versatility and contemporary nature of what can be achieved with bricks in unique and interesting murals for architects and designers.”
